My Moalboal Secret

Other than to say hello to my friend’s family, I would visit Moalboal just to check this bookstore out. This bookstore started operating when I was in high school. My friend introduced this to us, and I had to go every time I’m in town because we found cool art magazines from this store. The store’s stocks though have not been updated, and soon it will probably close.

In high school, my friend supplied us with Judith McNaught books priced at only Php80 to Php120. In college, the first time I visited the book shop, I was able to score some back issues of my favorite magazine, Lucky Magazine, and one copy I still keep until today (because the magazine has a good article on vintage shopping). My boyfriend has also bought a handful of art books from this store. Time here is always well spent, maybe because I truly also love my friend and her family.

** Update: As of May 2017, the bookstore and surplus shop is no longer operating.
